We’ve made it to the end of 2023, and what a busy year it has been. I think we’re all ready for a piece of pavlova and a nanna nap! This is a pic from our clinic Christmas party. We did an escape room and then went to Fonda for dinner, and it was such a blast.
This Christmas newsletter is my opportunity to say thank you, so much, to all our patients at North Canberra Osteo. Thank you for bringing your sore backs and your headaches, your injuries and your aches and pains to us. Thankyou for choosing us to look after your beautiful, precious babies. It’s a privilege to be a part of your health care team.
Thank you to our referral network, who we know we can rely on to provide wonderful care to our patients when they need help that’s outside our scope.
And thank you to the team at NCO. I want to give a special thank you to Betsy our clinic leader who has helped me so much this year. Thanks Betsy.
As well as myself (Anna) we have 4 wonderful osteopaths:
- Betsy our Clinic Leader
- Senior Osteopath Imogen
- Women’s Health Osteopath Rea
- Our newest recruit, the fabulous Poh
The front desk is covered by our lead receptionist Karen, and casuals Jenny, Alison, Annie and Tilly. As well as looking after the front desk, our hard working receptionists keep up with laundry, keep the clinic tidy and help the clinical team in a hundred different ways. We also have superstar administrator Pip, and Thea our pilates instructor.
Finally, a big thank you to our massage therapist Pearl, who is finishing up with us in a couple of weeks. Pearl has worked at NCO on Sundays for 7 years, and is cutting back her work hours to spend more time with family. She’ll still be working in Bungendore and you can find her at W Wellness Centre on Mondays and Wednesdays. We’re going to miss you Pearl!
In other news:
Christmas close down: The whole team is taking time off over Christmas this year. We’ll be finishing up on Saturday 23rd December and we reopen on Tuesday 2nd of January.
Betsy and Rea acing their studies: Betsy has handed in her final assignment and completed her Diploma of Child Health, and Rea has finished the first year of her Masters of Women’s Health. Massive congrats to you both. Pavlova and nanna naps x 1000!
25 years: Last week it was 25 years since I (Anna) did my final exams for my double bachelor in osteopathy at RMIT. A quarter century of developing my clinical and palpatory skills, and more recently some business management skills. There’s always something interesting and new to learn, so I’ve got plenty to do for at least another 25 years!
Want to give us an awesome Christmas present? Google and Facebook reviews help more people find us. Being in healthcare, reviews aren’t permitted by AHPRA to be about treatment outcomes, but they can be about how we care for our patients, how the clinic feels to visit, and practical things such as parking and online bookings. If you’re so inclined, here are the links:
Products: We have some products at the clinic that would make great Christmas presents including rainmakers, teethers, Archies thongs, pillows and much more.
